- What is Merwin Online ?
Merwin offers a unique combination of hosting and a set of components to build an effective portfolio website. We mostly focus on artists and creatives, but of course everyone is free to make use of our possibilities.
- Where is Merwin based?
Currently we reside in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
- Why can?t I change the name of a field?
You can not change the name of a fielt becase i'ts linked to various tabelen in the database. If you like to change the name of a field you can choose to delete the field and then add a new field to the form.
If you whant to change the label and / or plaseholder. You can do so in the language module. Search the corresponding tag and replase the value. Here you read how to do this.
- How to go back to the normal portfolio view?
If you like to go back to the normal view of your portfolio follow te next steps:
- Login on Merwin Online
- Go to pages
- go to "Overview"
- Search for "portfolio" in the list
- cheansh all your text to: {portfolio}
- Save your page
- Where does the name Merwin come from?
The name Merwin stand for ‘trustworthy, renowned friend’. Online should be obvious, we guess.
- Can I move my current domain name?
Yes you can. Enter at your request the website which you like to move by following the provided steps in the guide. We see this course or on your name is registered. If everything is correct, will send you a mail with the information necessary for the relocation of your domain. Please note that if your domain is moved that this may take longer before you get started with our system. Also, all data of your website is lost, so before you make the move, we strongly advise you to make a good backup!
Merwin Online does not take responsibility for any lost data due to incomplete or incorrect backup methods.
- What do I need in order to use a Merwin Online service?
Not much more than some webspace and a little bit of creativity. Some knowledge about HTML can be useful. Dutch costumers can choose for a combined license with our Hosting to obtain webspace. Otherwise, you are free to choose another webhost or use your own customized server.
- Can I transfer my current domain name from another provider to Merwin?
Yes, you preserve the rights to your domain name when changing hosts. This also applies to WHOIS data. See also here.
- Is it safe to purchase Packs through Merwin?
Yes, by using a secure socket layer (SSL) connection, it is possible to safely get hold of your Pack(s). For more info on SSL, you can take a look over here.
